The Base Lite was designed for the pilot who craves epic vol-bivouac (sky-camping) adventures, travelling the world and the occasional top-to-bottom comfort flight.The BGD Base Lite is a lightweight Sport class (EN-B) paraglider optimized for vol-bivouac and hike & fly adventures. Based on the standard Base, it features reduced weight for less inertia, creating higher overall performance, reduced shooting, increased roll stability, and sharper handling. Technologies include a speed bar optimized for higher top speeds, an ultra-streamlined line set (PPSL, Kevlar, Dyneema), plastic wire-reinforced leading edge mini-ribs, a strong shark nose, and Cord Cut Billow. Designed for travelling pilots and adventurers, it delivers high performance in a compact, lightweight package without compromising passive safety.
